Studio Ocean Mark's Seigi "Power" Twin Assist is the reinforced "Power" version, featuring a stronger assist braid, specifically designed for Slow Pitch Jerk. Many hooks intended for pelagic predators (such as amberjack and tuna) are traditionally made with very thick wire, often poorly balanced compared to the line used. From this observation comes the question: what is the ideal hook for slow pitch jigging targeting big pelagics? The answer was provided by top angler Yasuo Nishimoto, who contributed to the development of the SEIGI series.

Design philosophy
Production has been entrusted to Hariyoshi Co., Ltd., a craft company specialized in handmade hooks. Each model is the result of a fully manual process, where shank length, point angle, forging and eye angle have all been carefully designed and refined under Nishimoto's guidance. The outcome is a hook crafted with artisanal precision, capable of meeting the highest demands in slow pitch jigging.

Features of the SEIGI hook
1) Long shank: increases penetration power by leveraging torque;
2) Round wire: reduces the risk of tearing during the fight;
3) Flat forging: further enhances penetration and structural strength;
4) Straight point: ensures excellent piercing ability.

Construction features of the "Power" Twin Assist hook
1) Custom SOM (Studio Ocean Mark) solid ring;
2) SOM Seigi #20 (3/0) or #23 (4/0) hook;
3) Reinforced assist braid with fluorocarbon core for increased stiffness;
4) Reinforced whipping secured with instant adhesive to prevent fraying.

Recommended targets #20 (3/0)
Amberjack up to 10 kg and Tuna up to 15 kg.
With a perfect hook-up in the hard part of the jaw, it's possible to land fish even larger than those listed.
It's always recommended to properly adjust rod, line, drag setting and fighting style according to the target.

Recommended targets #23 (4/0)
Amberjack over 10 kg and Tuna up to 30 kg.
With a perfect hook-up in the hard part of the jaw, it's possible to land fish even larger than those listed.
It's always recommended to properly adjust rod, line, drag setting and fighting style according to the target.
