Grappler BB

Shimano's Grappler BB is a small saltwater baitcasting reel, dedicated to light vertical techniques from the boat. Perfect for Light Jigging, Tenya and vertical Squid fishing, the Grappler BB is an extremely easy reel to use and handle by everyone, even for those who are approaching this type of reel for the first time. It's equipped with the Hagane body and X-Protect which make this reel robust and tenacious, to withstand even heavy retrieves. The Hagane body makes the reel compact and robust, allowing comfortable palming and giving the possibility of fishing for hours without getting tired. X-Protect has been used here for the first time in the Shimano BB series of reels, and consists of the use of a waterproof protection combined with a special water repellent grease, so as to protect against the intrusion of saltwater into the bearings of the main gear shaft, reducing problems caused by salt in the bearings. It can be used with confidence even in difficult conditions and the performance of the first use is maintained for a longer period of time. A fundamental feature is the Level-Wind Interlocking, a system that makes the reel and the line guide interlocked; in this way the line is released in a straight way, allowing the lure to sink gently. The drag works smoothly even when fishing with thin PE. Finally, it features a powerful 60mm handle with a rounded knob, perfect for the toughest fights!
