Curado DC 201

Shimano's Curado DC 201 is the new size of the DC version of the famous Curado family. The Curado DC is a technically advanced low profile baitcasting reel that features Shimano's exclusive Digital Control braking system (i-DC4), which allows you to automatically control the rotational speed of the spool during casting. Thanks to the exclusive Shimano Digital Control technology, easily adjusted with an external knob, it's possible to set the reel in a totally free mode or one of three different settings: 1) for braid or mono, 2) for fluorine and 3) for more difficult casting situations such as strong winds. Once set, the micro computer makes nano-second adjustments to spool speed during the cast, preventing wiggs, maximizing casting performance and letting you focus on your fishing with more pleasure. But there is much more to Curado DC than Digital Control. The Hagane Body is lightweight, rock solid, and fits naturally in your hand. The combination of Micro Module Gear and X-Ship gives you the smoothness and power you need and Cross Carbon Drag ensures you're always in control of the hard fighting fish. Finally, the S3D spool allows the Digital Control to reach its maximum efficiency by reducing spool oscillation during casting.
