Developed in collaboration with Daiwa Globeride, this reel combines two fundamental technical directions: extreme weight reduction and increased structural rigidity. The full-metal monocoque body, machined from a single block, ensures exceptional solidity, superior power transmission and long-lasting durability even in the harshest conditions. Inside, multiple Magsealed points and a rich set of bearings provide unmatched smoothness. Special attention was given to the handle, crafted with an exclusive configuration that blends sensitivity and power: the optimized handle arm delivers immediate response even in extra high gear configurations, while the Power Light Knob ensures a firm, non-slip grip during the most intense fights. The 4000-C (compact) size makes it extremely versatile, ideal for fishing in harbors, estuaries, rivers and open sea with a single reel. AIRDRIVE DESIGN
Airdrive Design is the new frontier of next-generation spinning reels, engineered to give anglers total control over the lure and immediate response in every condition. This advanced system combines four cutting-edge technologies working in perfect synergy to deliver maximum lightness, smoothness and precision. The Airdrive Rotor provides ultra-light and highly responsive rotation, while the Airdrive Bail uses a lightweight, optimized bail arm that minimizes issues and improves line flow. The Airdrive Spool, built with thin walls and a weight-reduced internal structure, enhances startup rotation and overall reel handling. Finally, the Airdrive Shaft eliminates contact between pinion and main shaft, using high-precision bushings for silent, friction-free operation even under load. MONOCOQUE BODY
The Monocoque Body is the ultimate expression of rigidity, durability and precision in the new generation of spinning reels. Unlike traditional designs that use a body and removable side cover fixed with multiple screws, the monocoque construction eliminates the cover entirely and integrates a high-precision plate screwed directly into the main body. This innovative approach provides several advantages: superior rigidity, perfect gear alignment accuracy, enhanced water resistance and the ability to house a larger drive gear thanks to the space saved by removing screws. The term Monocoque (“single shell”) perfectly describes this compact, strong and incredibly robust structure that redefines modern reel engineering.
MAGSEALED
Magsealed technology provides advanced protection against saltwater, dust and impurities, ensuring longer lifespan and consistent performance. A magnetic fluid barrier seals sensitive areas of the reel without generating friction, maintaining smooth rotation and preserving internal components even in harsh environments. In the new VENTURA, Magsealed is applied in three critical locations: both ends of the drive gear, the pinion and the line roller—resulting in a full Magsealed configuration. This state-of-the-art sealing system offers complete corrosion protection, increasing durability and guaranteeing reliable high performance in any fishing scenario.
ATD TYPE-L DRAG
The ATD Type-L drag system is engineered for superior fighting control, providing extremely smooth, responsive and stable drag performance. It reacts instantly to pressure changes, ensuring a soft initial startup and consistent traction without jerking, allowing anglers to focus entirely on fighting the fish without needing constant micro-adjustments. LC-ABS SPOOL
The LC-ABS Spool represents the next-generation evolution of the ABS II system, designed to optimize line management and maximize casting performance. By advancing the line contact point toward the front of the spool, line release becomes smoother and more controlled, achieving up to 5% increased casting distance. This design also reduces the risk of line catching on the spool lip, improving reliability and minimizing issues during fishing. Purpose-built for long casting, the LC-ABS Spool provides real advantages in efficiency, accuracy and comfort with every cast.
VENTURA HANDLE
The new Ventura comes equipped with a 55 mm handle—an ideal length that delivers smooth rotation even with a simple wrist snap and provides superior sensitivity in detecting current changes compared to a standard 60 mm handle. This optimized length pairs perfectly with the reel’s rigid body, ensuring stability and full reliability during heavy fights. Completing the setup is the SLP Works RCS Power Light Knob M Long, designed to offer exceptional grip: it won’t slip even under sudden load and allows anglers to maintain full control and power throughout the fight.
