GOTO9's Swarm 130S is a 130 mm variable-buoyancy pencil weighing approximately 12 g, designed for Seabass fishing during worm swarming in river environments, known in Japan as bachi-nuke. Its design focuses on the ability to follow the current and drift naturally, maintaining a presentation just below the surface. Its buoyancy varies with salinity, ranging from slow floating to slow sinking. Light line tension allows anglers to guide the lure as it drifts, keeping it at around 20 cm deep even with extremely slow retrieves.

Marine worm swarming is a reproductive phenomenon during which certain polychaetes leave the seabed and swim towards the surface to release their eggs. These concentrations can provide predators with an abundant food source. The phenomenon also occurs in the Mediterranean, including lagoons, and often takes place at night, with timing linked to the species, season and lunar cycle. In environments influenced by currents, the Swarm 130 prioritises a natural drift below the surface, mimicking prey being carried by the flow.

The combination of variable buoyancy, a drifting presentation and head geometry allows the SWARM 130 to maintain its working depth at different retrieve speeds and directions. Its design also allows anglers to alternate pauses and fast retrieves, including presentations intended to imitate a garfish. It comes fitted with #6 treble hooks and #2 split rings.

Type: Variable Pencil (Slow Sinking - Slow Floating)
