G-CRAFT's Seven-Sense SR "MIDNIGHT MONSTER" is Seabass rod part of the SEVEN-SENSE SR lineup and is developed to match the high performance of the flagship Seven-Sense PE series, using a blend of 30t and 40t high-strength carbon. MMS-982-SR “Bigone Custom” (MIDNIGHT MONSTER 98 SR)
The sixth evolution of the SR series, the MIDNIGHT MONSTER 98 "Bigone Custom" was developed for targeting big sea bass in strong current and for technical power-game fishing from low rocky shorelines. Designed for medium-heavy to heavy lures, it excels with vibrations from 15g to 35g, minnows, and sinking pencils up to 35g, maintaining precision and control even in strong wind, rough seas, and heavy current. Despite the tremendous power available, the blank remains extremely lightweight and was specifically engineered for situations where sea bass feed on large baitfish and for fighting fish over 5 kg, while still preserving the smooth progressive action typical of the SR series. The butt section features remarkable shock absorption under load, enabling fast retrieves and secure fights even with exceptionally large fish. The MIDNIGHT MONSTER was born for large rivers, tidal estuaries and shallow rocky shorelines, but its versatility also makes it extremely effective in severe wind and rough sea conditions. Its design philosophy remains true to G-Craft's core concept: eliminate every unnecessary aesthetic element while preserving absolute performance in terms of lightness, sensitivity and control. Action and performance
Fast-progressive action with a sensitive, precise tip highly resistant to wind and current pressure. The blank offers outstanding control during the animation of medium-large minnows, heavy vibrations, sinking pencils and metal vibrations, making it ideal for technical situations where power and control must coexist without compromise. The butt section features extraordinary progressive power under load, allowing anglers to handle big seabass and big predators without losing sensitivity or control during the fight. Optimized for lures between 24g and 35g, it still remains extremely comfortable during continuous retrieves and extended fishing sessions. Thanks to its 9'8" length and perfectly balanced blank, it provides exceptional casting distance, total lure control and maximum confidence even in the most demanding conditions.
Recommended fishing spots
Large rivers with strong current, estuaries with significant tidal movement, shallow rocky shorelines, windy areas, large canal and open spots where long casting distance, total lure control and maximum fish-fighting power are required.
Ideal lure weight range
- Full range: from 10g (Minnow) up to 45g;
- Sinking pencil: 12g-40g (optimal use: 31g);
- Minnow: 10g-35g (optimal use: 26g);
- Vibration: 15g-35g (optimal use: 28g);
- Metal Vibration / Iron Plate: 18g-44g (optimal use: 35g).
Technical usage notes
For maximum performance, the use of slim leader knots without protrusions is recommended. The ideal leader length ranges from 1 m to 1.5 m. Casting with the knot positioned outside the tip guide is recommended; excessively long leaders are not advised.
Reel seat technical note
The rod features a Fuji VSS-16 reel seat with a slim profile, specifically selected to maximize sensitivity and handling. It's therefore recommended to tighten the reel carefully and firmly to ensure maximum stability during use.
