G-CRAFT's Seven-Sense SR "MIDNIGHT JETTY" is a Sea Bass spinning rod belonging to the SEVEN-SENSE SR series, developed to achieve the same blank quality as the SEVEN-SENSE PE lineup by using a combination of high-strength 30t and 40t carbon materials. The goal is to deliver a rod free from unnecessary stiffness or unpleasant irregular behavior, while maintaining maximum ease of use and handling. The blank has been specifically optimized for casting accuracy, featuring a easy to "feel" tip section and a perfectly balanced butt section, ideal for maintaining lure control even in demanding conditions. To keep costs under control without sacrificing quality, the rod is equipped with Fuji titanium guides with SIC rings and an in-house manufactured blank made entirely in Japan, ensuring maximum efficiency and durability.
MJS-862-SR "Wangan Custom" (MIDNIGHT JETTY 86 'SR')
The third evolution of the SR series, the MIDNIGHT JETTY 86 "Wangan Custom" was specifically developed for fishing in harbors, inner bays, canals and urban coastal environments, where casting precision and quick lure control are essential. Designed for medium-light lures, it excels in pin shooting techniques and in the precise handling of small and medium-sized minnows, vibrations and sinking pencils.
The blank has been optimized to provide maximum sensitivity and lure control, while still maintaining impressive reserve power against big fish. The rod allows anglers to fight quality fish without giving away too much control, while retaining a progressive action capable of perfectly absorbing the runs of 40-60 cm sea bass without pulling hooks free. The butt section works smoothly yet decisively, assisting both during the fight and when extracting fish away from structures and obstacles.
Although originally conceived as a harbor-oriented rod, its versatility also makes it extremely effective for wading on mixed beaches, lagoons, shallow rocky shorelines and estuary areas, as well as for daytime fishing with jigheads and softbaits. The design philosophy remains true to G-CRAFT's identity: eliminate every unnecessary aesthetic element while preserving absolute performance in terms of lightness, sensitivity and control. It's precisely this extreme pursuit of essentials that defines the SR concept itself: "Beyond this point, we refuse to compromise any further".

Action and performance
Fast-progressive action with a quick, sensitive and precise tip, designed to handle lures from 5g up to 18g effortlessly. The blank delivers excellent casting precision and high responsiveness during quick lure manipulation, making it ideal for technical fishing situations where imitating worms or small baitfish is essential, as well as for urban finesse fishing. The butt section offers remarkable shock absorption and progressive power under load, allowing anglers to handle demanding fights without compromising hooksets or fish control near structures. Optimized for sinking pencils around 12g, 16g minnows and 15g vibrations, it still maintains a broad operating range and excellent ease of use even with lighter lures. The 8'6" length and extremely responsive balance make it ideal for technical spots where casting precision, retrieve speed and lure control make the difference.
Recommended fishing spots
Harbors, inner bays, urban canals, estuaries, lagoons, areas with submerged structures, mixed pebble beaches, shallow rocky shorelines and technical wading spots requiring high casting accuracy.
Ideal lure weight
- Full range: from 5g (sinking pencil) up to 26g;
- Sinking Pencil: 5g-21g (optimal use around 12g);
- Minnow: 8g-21g (optimal use around 16g);
- Vibration (including Metal Vibrations): 10g-21g (optimal use around 15g);
- Jighead + Softbait: 4g-7g (optimal use).
Technical usage notes
For maximum performance, the use of low-profile leader knots is recommended. The ideal leader length ranges from 1 m to 1.5 m. Casting with the knot positioned outside the tip guide is recommended; excessively long leaders are not advised.
