G-CRAFT's Seven-Sense SR "MID STREAM" is Seabass rod part of the SEVEN-SENSE SR lineup and is developed to match the high performance of the flagship Seven-Sense PE series, using a blend of 30t and 40t high-strength carbon. The result is a rod with no unnecessary stiffness or erratic behavior, offering maximum control and usability. The blank has been fine-tuned with a special focus on casting accuracy and lure sensitivity. With a sensitive yet responsive tip and well-balanced backbone, it ensures precise control of lures even in extreme current conditions. To maintain top-tier quality at a more accessible price point, G-CRAFT equipped the rod with Fuji titanium frames with SIC rings, and a Japanese-made in-house blank, ensuring maximum efficiency, durability and performance.
MSS-972-SR "River Custom" (MID STREAM 97 'SR')
The second evolution of the SR series, the MID STREAM 97 "River Custom" was specifically developed for fishing in medium and large rivers, especially in strong current conditions where casting distance, lure control and fish management are essential. Designed for medium-heavy lures, it excels with 12-14 cm minnows, vibrations, blade baits and sinking pencils, maintaining excellent precision even in fast-moving water.
The blank has been optimized to provide high sensitivity and impressive reserve power, with a progressive butt section capable of handling big sea bass up to approximately 5 kg without difficulty. At the same time, the action remains fluid and forgiving, allowing lighter lures to be worked without losing control or precision.
The MID STREAM was born for technical river game fishing, but its versatility also makes it extremely effective in estuaries, medium-light beach fishing, and shallow rocky shorelines. The design philosophy remains true to G-CRAFT's identity: eliminating every unnecessary aesthetic element while preserving absolute performance in terms of lightness, sensitivity and control. It's precisely this extreme pursuit of essentials that defines the SR concept itself: "Beyond this point, we refuse to compromise any further".

Action and performance
Fast-progressive action with a quick, sensitive and precise tip, designed to ensure long casting distance and maximum lure control in strong current conditions. The blank provides excellent control during the animation of 12-14 cm minnows, medium-heavy vibrations, blade baits and sinking pencils, making it perfect for technical fishing situations in large rivers and open-water environments. The butt section features remarkable shock absorption and progressive power under load, allowing anglers to fight big sea bass without compromising sensitivity or control during the fight. Optimized for lures around 21g, it still maintains a very wide operating range and excellent ease of use even with lighter lures. Thanks to its 9'7" length and perfectly balanced blank, it offers excellent leverage for long-distance casting and total lure control even in strong current or during technical long-range retrieves.
Recommended fishing spots
Medium and large rivers, estuaries with strong current, large canals, medium-light beach fishing including mixed pebble beaches, deep lagoons and open-water spots where long casting distance and maximum lure control in current are required.
Ideal lure weight
- Full range: from 8g (sinking pencil) up to 38g;
- Sinking Pencil: 8g-21g (optimal use around 21g);
- Minnow: 12g-24g (optimal use around 21g);
- Vibration (including Metal Vibrations): 15g-28g (optimal use around 25g);
- Blade Bait: 20g (optimal use);
- Metal Vibration / Iron Plate: 18g-26g (optimal use).
Technical usage notes
For maximum performance, the use of low-profile leader knots is recommended. The ideal leader length ranges from 1 m to 1.5 m. Casting with the knot positioned outside the tip guide is recommended; excessively long leaders are not advised.
