Search Pop

Melon's Search Pop is a floating pencil popper made of rigid polyurethane foam, designed to deliver maximum performance in popping and surface lure techniques. Developed to create wide splashes and a deep popping sound, its effectiveness varies depending on the intensity of the rod jerks. Its hexagonal and multi-faceted body and flat sides with holographic finish generate a strong multidirectional flash, highly visible in the water, even during seemingly linear movements. The slender design, combined with the concave head, produces a highly visible bubble trail and, when worked with technical twitching retrieves, also delivers an effective walk-the-dog action, ideal during periods of low predator activity. Successfully tested on tuna feeding frenzies, the Search Pop has proven to be extremely versatile on many other species such as amberjack, GT and other big predators, both in Japan and abroad.
