Mazume's Rough Water Rain Suit "Black" is a technical rain suit developed for offshore fishing, designed to provide a high level of waterproof protection, light weight, freedom of movement, and practicality during long sessions at sea. Consisting of a jacket and bib pants, it's made from a lightweight and flexible PU (polyurethane) material, designed to naturally follow the angler's movements during casting, jigging, fighting fish, and moving around on board. Lightweight, freedom of movement, and high waterproof protection
One of the main strengths of the Rough Water Rain Suit is its ability to combine protection from water with a lightweight and flexible construction. Compared with traditional PVC rain suits, which are generally heavier and stiffer, the material used allows for more natural movement and reduces the feeling of bulk during fishing.
Advantages of PU (polyurethane) material
PU provides excellent protection against wind, rain, and sea spray while maintaining a soft and flexible structure. The surface is also easy to clean from blood, fish slime, and dirt, allowing the suit to be quickly rinsed with water at the end of the fishing session. Its elasticity follows the repetitive movements typical of offshore fishing, helping to improve overall comfort and mobility.

Mazume has chosen a clean, slim silhouette designed to provide a technical fit without feeling excessively bulky. The cut still leaves enough room to wear mid-layers underneath the suit. The internal mesh lining also helps reduce the sticky feeling caused by sweat and moisture.
Fishing-specific comfort
The Rough Water Rain Suit incorporates Mazume's "Fishing Fit" concept, developed to follow the typical movements involved in fishing and improve comfort during prolonged use. The jacket features a removable hood, cuffs with double neoprene protection to help prevent water and wind from entering, and an internal zippered pocket for small items. The combination of technical fit, protection, and light weight makes it easier to deal with the changing conditions typically encountered during saltwater fishing.
Pants
The pants feature a bib-style construction with coverage extending up to the chest, designed to better protect the clothing underneath. They are equipped with a YKK front zipper, useful both for convenience and as a ventilation opening, together with a full internal mesh lining to reduce sticking against the skin. The rear section also uses a single-panel construction, designed to improve tear resistance between the crotch and seat area. The suspender system is designed to distribute weight more evenly and reduce fatigue during long days of fishing.
Included accessories
The suit is supplied with several accessories designed to improve comfort on board:

- Removable rear/lumbar pad, useful for reducing discomfort during long periods of sitting
- Removable thigh pads, designed to improve comfort when leaning against the side of the boat
