Pencil 185 Rattlin'

Molix's Pencil 185 Rattlin' is a topwater lure with an above-average length and a slim profile, capable of reaching great casting distances and overcoming the apathy and wariness of predators, even in rough sea conditions. It features all the benefits of a reinforced ABS construction, a generous through-wire stainless steel frame, and high-quality extra-strong saltwater treble hooks. It's effective both when fishing from shore and from a boat, and its action can be easily customized thanks to the perfectly positioned internal weights. These not only allow for extremely long casts but also enable various retrieval techniques: a wide, classic walk-the-dog (WTD) action that lets the lure glide almost silently on the surface, or a tighter, more erratic motion that displaces a large amount of water. Alternatively, when retrieved quickly with sharp rod twitches, it skips across the surface creating attractive splashes that mimic a fleeing baitfish. Developed for Mediterranean predators such as Bluefish, Barracuda, and Leerfish, it's also capable of withstanding the heavy stresses of medium/heavy fishing in tropical waters.
