PE Line Changer

Daiwa's PE Line Changer is a practical device for quickly removing PE line from the reel, making PE line replacement much easier. Its special structure is specifically designed to collect the line quickly, neatly, and compactly during winding. The motorized system significantly speeds up the process compared with manual removal and also makes it easier to dispose of the PE line once the operation is complete. The unit features expandable arms, allowing the wound line to be removed easily while keeping it collected together. For more even winding, the PE line can be guided by hand during operation (the use of a glove is recommended). The device is powered by one AA battery and is particularly useful for anglers who frequently replace PE line on their reels.

How to use (watch the video)

1) Insert the battery:
Insert one AA battery correctly, following the indications shown on the body of the PE Line Changer.

2) Open the spool arms:
Press the dedicated button to open the arms. When the device is not in use, close them again to help prevent deformation.

3) Secure and wind the PE line:
Insert the end of the line into the dedicated line holder and press the switch. Hold the device with one hand and guide the PE line with the other for more stable winding, preferably while wearing gloves.

4) Remove the wound PE line:
Once the line reaches the reference filling mark, press the dedicated button to release the PE line in a single compact bundle.

*Daiwa does not recommend using the device with thin nylon line, as the contraction of the material may make the wound line difficult to remove afterwards.
