The ONADA was born from the collaboration between Sergio Pesca and AB1, with the goal of delivering top-quality products Made in Italy, using the best components on the market and the most advanced manufacturing processes. The ONADA series has been specifically designed for Live Bait Trolling, featuring a Fast action carbon blank, Fuji SIC guides mounted in spiral wrap (with a misaligned second guide), AB1 anodized aluminum reel seat (20-micron), and a super rigid 26mm EVA handle.
BLANK
The one-piece carbon blank is of the highest quality with a Fast action. It ensures exceptional performance both during trolling—maintaining the correct curvature of the tip (without oscillation) to detect the bite—and during the retrieval phase, thanks to its impressive power reserve. Its particular action allows for easy, safe, and enjoyable fish retrieval. The blank features the SP logo and a colored detail just above the grip, matching the logo's color.
GUIDES
The blank is fitted with 13 guides (for the two lighter models) or 11 guides (for the most powerful one), all Fuji SiC GMMNSG in Gunsmoke color. The guides are spiral-wrapped (acid wrap), with the second guide offset to keep the line centered toward the reel. This spiral wrap configuration ensures greater stability during fights, eliminating lateral torsion and improving fish control while reducing angler fatigue. The absence of torsion allows the blank to flex more smoothly and directly, better transmitting fish movements and vibrations—making the angler more aware of every stage of the fight. Additionally, the line follows a smoother, straighter path, minimizing unwanted contact with the blank or guides, even when the rod is tilted. GRIP, REEL SEAT AND BUTT
The ONADA features an AB1 reel seat in matte black anodized aluminum (20-micron), matched with a butt cap of the same material and color (equipped with a rubber end cap). The 26mm EVA grip is slim and ergonomic, measuring 18 cm (upper section) and 31.5 cm (lower section). This setup allows the reel to be securely fastened and provides a firm, comfortable grip during fights.

To quickly identify the rod’s line class, the "P" in the SP logo is color-coded:
- Silver: 20–30lb, max sinker weight 500g
- Orange: 25–40lb, max sinker weight 650g
