Studio Ocean Mark's Ocean Twin BG86 is a twin assist hook for lures, developed through years of testing and refinement by Captain Morizo in Miyakojima. The Ocean Twin BG86 represents the ideal twin-hook configuration, designed to combine the advantages of both treble and single hooks. Its special twin assist rig keeps the hooks in a stable position during fishing action, reducing the risk of losing fish and improving hook-up efficiency.

Reliability in battle and higher hook-up rate
Treble hooks, due to their shape, provide quick hook-ups but often result in misplaced hookups around the mouth, increasing the chance of losing fish during the fight. Single hooks, on the other hand, tend to catch in the right spot, but when matched in size and weight to a treble, they can become less effective in penetration. The Ocean Twin BG86 maintains a balanced size and weight, with a stable posture that reduces side hookups and increases the chance of hooking securely in solid areas. In addition, thanks to its thicker wire compared to trebles, it offers greater strength and reliability even in long, powerful fights with large fish. The BG86 features a traditional barb, effective against fish that jump or shake violently, reducing the risk of unhooking.

Lure action and customization options
Compared to single hooks, the BG86 rig allows for smaller hook sizes while still maintaining sharp and lively lure action, similar to that of treble hooks. The setup can also be customized by adjusting the length of the assist braid, balancing the size between front and rear hooks, or adding weights to modify depth and swimming style.

Casting advantages
During casting, the twin hooks align neatly with the lure's body, reducing aerodynamic drag. This results in a more stable flight and increased casting distance.

High-quality components
- Hooks BG86: designed by Hiroshi Sano and successfully tested on record-size tuna, ensuring ultimate strength and reliability;
- Assist braid: based on X-Braid Sea Hunter, upgraded into a special gray version for superior durability and knotting performance;
- Solid ring: mirror-polished press rings, custom-made by Studio Ocean Mark for maximum strength.

Note
If the belly eye of the lure is fixed, it's recommended to use assist lines at least 10 mm long to prevent fish rolling during the fight from concentrating stress on the connection.

Weights
4/0 - 8.7 g, 5/0 - 10.2 g, 6/0 - 13.7 g, 7/0 - 22.7 g

*Each package contains two hooks (a single twin pair). To rig one lure, two packages are required.
