Ocean Twin BBS88

Studio Ocean Mark's Ocean Twin BBS88 is part of the Ocean Twin series and features lightweight BBS hooks, allowing for a perfectly balanced and systematic twin-hook setup. This configuration was refined by Captain Morizo from Miyakojima (Fishing Guide Service Morizo) after nearly two years of testing, with the goal of achieving the ideal setup. The result is a twin hook that maintains its paired shape at all times, combining the advantages of both treble and single hooks, without being just a simple combination of two assist hooks.

Main features of the BBS hooks
The BBS hooks feature a wide gape and straight point that ensure instant hook-up at the bite. The long shank increases penetration power by leveraging the principle of torque, while the combination of straight point and fine wire enables fast and highly effective hooking.

Lightweight setup, effective even in low-activity conditions
Thanks to their fine wire and light weight, the BBS88 hooks are easily taken into the fish's mouth even with minimal suction power. They are particularly effective during low feeding activity for GT, Amberjack and Tuna, which often push lures away with water. In cases of extreme aggressiveness, where hooks may often foul outside the mouth, it's recommended to switch to the thicker-wire BG86 version to better suit the conditions.

- Assist braid: based on YGK Sea Hunter, upgraded to a special version for improved durability and knotting ease;
- Solid ring: custom-made, mirror-polished press rings by SOM, ensuring maximum strength and reliability.
