Suteki's Mutsu Circle Hook is a circle hook with an eye, developed in Japan for ebing and fishing with natural and live baits! Designed to allow live bait to swim naturally, its construction combines easy rigging and strength. The forged and press-flattened body provides a durable construction, while the offset point defines its distinctive Mutsu geometry. The integrated eye makes attaching the hook to the leader easy, offering a practical solution for preparing rigs. The NS black nickel finish completes this model, available in several sizes to suit different bait sizes and fishing requirements. Ideal for demanding anglers seeking a functional and versatile hook, it's a suitable choice for ebing and natural live bait presentations!

What is Ebing?
Ebing is a Japanese fishing technique mainly practised from a boat to target tuna and other large pelagic predators. It combines a metal jig and a small soft bait, each serving a different purpose within the same rig. The jig is attached to a metal spreader called a tenbin, while the soft bait is rigged on a hook at the end of a separate leader. The metal jig allows the rig to reach the desired depth quickly and attracts the fish’s attention, while the soft bait triggers the bite. The rig is worked with alternating jerks and retrieves, exploring the depth range where the predators are holding. The spreader (tenbin) reduces tangles and allows the leader to work properly. Ebing can be particularly effective when fish are feeding on small prey and showing little interest in conventional jigs.
