Maliera 58S

Trefle Creation's Maliera 58S is a compact 58 mm sinking vibration lure, developed under the supervision of Pro Staff Daibo not simply as a downsized version of the Maliera 68S, but as a model specifically designed to work effectively in shallow areas and at slower retrieve speeds. While retaining a swimming action very close to that of its larger counterpart, the 58S has been tuned to produce a slightly more pronounced wobble during slow retrieves, increasing its appeal in situations where Sea Bass respond better to slow and natural presentations. The philosophy remains true to the MALIERA series: to provide an effective vibration lure with a discreet presence on the line, reducing the excessive vibration often transmitted by conventional vibration lures.

To maintain excellent casting performance and precise control of its swimming range, Trefle Creation selected a weight of 14 g, relatively substantial for a vibration lure measuring only 58 mm. This configuration allows the Maliera 58S to achieve excellent casting distances despite its compact size and to maintain a stable trajectory throughout the retrieve, making it particularly effective when carefully covering shallow-water areas, moderate currents, and zones where fish are feeding on small baitfish. Its compact body and concentrated weight also make it easy to handle even in windy conditions.

Another important feature is the use of #8 treble hooks, the same size fitted to the Maliera 68S. Despite its compact dimensions, the 58S was designed with big Sea Bass in mind, maintaining a robust and reliable setup. During tests carried out in 2025 in the inner Tokyo Bay area, the Pro Staff Daibo recorded numerous catches even during the challenging summer period, including an 88 cm lunker Sea Bass, confirming the model's effectiveness on larger fish as well.

The Maliera 58S is therefore a true "small secret weapon" for Sea Bass fishing: compact, relatively heavy for its size, easy to cast, and capable of maintaining an effective action even at reduced retrieve speeds. It's particularly well suited to situations where it is necessary to downsize the lure profile without sacrificing casting distance, stability, or slow-speed performance, while preserving the distinctive "silent" philosophy of the Maliera series.
