Sany's Maguro Tenbin is an anti-tangle arm (technically known as a "Tenbin") designed for tuna and large pelagic fishing with Japanese-style boat techniques. Its reinforced structure, made with Ø3.0 mm wire and a 35 cm arm, provides high rigidity, excellent strength under load, and greater control of the terminal rig during dropping, fishing, and fighting.
The spacer arm keeps the leader separated from the sinker or groundbait feeder, reducing the risk of tangles, line twist, and leader wrap. The curved grip design with a rubber tube makes it easier to handle, even with wet hands, while the integrated power swivels improve leader rotation under tension.
It's recommended when using strong leaders and large natural baits, and rigs intended for powerful and fast-swimming fish such as tuna and pelagic species, with natural baits such as sardine, mackerel, squid, fillets, or cut bait.
Main features
- Size: Ø3.0 mm x 35 cm
- Type: Tenbin = boat anti-tangle spacer arm
- Recommended use: tuna and large pelagic species
- Techniques: drifting, Japanese-style heavy boat bottom fishing, feeder fishing
- Function: leader separation, reduced tangles, greater control during the fight
How to use
The Sany Maguro Tenbin is used as a connecting element between the main line, sinker or groundbait feeder, and the hook leader. It should be rigged so that the 35 cm arm keeps the leader spaced away from the main body of the setup.
Recommended rigging layout
Main line → Sany Maguro Tenbin → sinker/feeder on the lower side → hook leader on the end of the arm
Why use it
It's used to create a cleaner, stronger, and more stable rig, especially in current, with long leaders, or when targeting fish that create strong line twist during powerful runs. The Tenbin helps improve bait presentation, makes the drop smoother, and reduces the risk of the leader wrapping around the sinker or feeder.
