Maria's Legato F230 is the largest size in this Rock Shore pencil bait series, designed for use with heavy PE 6-8 tackle and developed for targeting big pelagic predators. It was created for situations in which fish are wary and tend to ignore slowly worked lures. Its body design, stable swimming posture and ability to perform effectively at high speed allow it to imitate fast-moving prey near the surface. It's particularly effective during the daytime, in calm sea conditions or whenever a reaction strike is needed before the predator has time to detect the deception.

ACTION
The Legato F230 can be worked both with jerks, which produce a pronounced diving action, and with fast, continuous retrieves performed through the reel handle. After diving, the lure continues swimming just below the surface with a tight, precise action and powerful flashing. This high-speed action is designed to trigger a reaction from wary or inactive predators. Its almost horizontal swimming posture also limits sudden rises toward the surface, keeping the lure within the fish's field of vision even after a missed strike and increasing the chance of a second attack.

MAGNETIC WEIGHT TRANSFER SYSTEM
The magnetic weight transfer system moves the weight toward the rear of the body during the cast, ensuring a stable trajectory, long casting distances and greater accuracy even when using very powerful tackle. This feature makes it possible to reach distant areas and cover large stretches of water from the shore. Once the lure enters the water, the weight automatically returns to the central position, allowing the Legato F230 to assume an almost horizontal swimming posture. The correct weight distribution keeps the lure stable even during high-speed retrieves and reduces its tendency to break out of the water.

DIMPLE SIDE
The distinctive grooved side surfaces, known as Dimple Side, consist of indentations positioned along the flanks of the body. During a fast retrieve, these dimples grip the water and continuously alter the pressure acting on the lure, generating irregular slides and sudden changes in direction. This makes the movement less predictable and more similar to that of a fleeing prey fish. The Dimple Side surfaces also enhance the flashes produced by the body while swimming and create additional strike opportunities, especially when a predator follows the lure without committing to the attack.

TACKLE AND RIGGING
The Legato F230 is designed for use with heavy tackle and PE lines from PE 6 to PE 8. The lure measures 230 mm and weighs 95 g without hooks, treble hooks or split rings, while its total rigged weight is approximately 115 g. It is supplied without hooks and split rings, allowing the angler to choose the most suitable rigging for the target species and fishing conditions. It can be rigged with #4/0 treble hooks or single hooks weighing between 8 and 11 g. #9 split rings are recommended.

HOW TO USE MARIA LURES - STRATEGIC SELECTION
It is recommended to alternate between the different models according to the fishing conditions:
- RAPIDO: versatile and suitable for all-round use;
- LOADED: ideal in rough water or at dawn, when strong visibility and disturbance are required;
- LEGATO: ideal on calm days or when fish are inactive, when speed can trigger a strike before the predator becomes suspicious.

COLORS
- 002 CHIMIDORO: Translucent color with a scale-pattern hologram and red tones that imitate an injured prey fish. Versatile and effective both in bright light and during the early morning hours.
- 004 KEIMURA SLIT GLOW: Natural yet highly attractive color featuring a Keimura treatment, translucent sides and a glow belly. Ideal in low-light conditions, overcast weather, rain or murky water.
- 005 SUKE URUME: Translucent color with flashes that imitate the natural shine of Urume Iwashi. Recommended during the daytime and when fish are inactive or particularly wary.
- 006 SIGHT PINKY: Versatile color combining translucency, flashing and high visibility thanks to its pink tones. An excellent all-round choice for unfamiliar spots or uncertain conditions.
- 048 MAHI MAHI BLUE: Color inspired by a fleeing mahi-mahi, featuring vivid blue tones. Particularly effective when predators are feeding on large pelagic prey.
