KRO Spintail

Deps's KRO Spintail is a unique spintail lure designed for Bass Fishing, specifically created to avoid losing black bass that strike at the blade. It's the ultimate spintail, now available in a new 3/4 oz. size (released in February 2025), which retains the same features as the classic 3/8 oz. version, with the only difference being a larger weighted section. The KRO Spintail is engineered to attract fish using a combination of flashing reflections and vibrations generated by Deps' original blade, which spins at high speed with no resistance. Even "blade bites"—those fast, tricky strikes on the blade—are effectively converted into hook-ups thanks to the assist wire hook system, which significantly increases the hook-up rate. Its low-center-of-gravity circuit board body ensures stable swimming and falling action, while minimizing tangling with the blade or hook. This makes it a must-have not just in peak seasons, but also during winter.

Body & Construction
Built with a 0.8 mm low-density circuit board, the body provides quick startup response and stable swimming both during retrieve and fall. Its low center of gravity and balanced flight posture allow for long and accurate casts, giving shore anglers a major advantage.

Blade
Deps' original shield-shaped blade is designed for rotation and begins spinning even with the slightest water flow. Mounted on a ball bearing swivel, it ensures smooth, high-speed rotation that produces effective flashing and vibrations across both slow and fast retrieves. A fixed tube limits the blade's range of motion, reducing the risk of tangling with line or hook. The design also allows for easy replacements or customization in case of damage or wear.

Assist Wire Hook
The assist wire hook system is designed to turn even light or indecisive blade bites into solid hook-ups by guiding the hook into the optimal position. It comes pre-rigged with a #10 treble hook and a #1 split ring.

Action & Use
Perfect for covering wide, flat areas, especially when predators are actively chasing bait, or in clear water where strong vibrations may be too aggressive. A simple straight retrieve generates tight vibrations that work even on lethargic bass in cold conditions. In deeper ranges, lift & fall retrieves allow the spinning blade to flash and pulse, effectively triggering reactions from even inactive fish.
