Keiko Ocean Chugayu 225

HOT'S Keiko Ocean Chugayu 225 is a large wooden pencil popper developed under the supervision of Mr. Hideyuki Furuya, known as the "Tuna Hunter". Made 100% in Japan using top-quality materials, it attracts big predators when worked with jerks of the rod tip, thanks to its bubbling action and the distinctive sound it produces at the surface. The recommended action for the CHUGAYU is to create a small side-to-side darting motion, allowing a slight amount of line slack after a medium/strong jerk. When targeting Tuna, it's recommended to let the lure pause for a few seconds after the jerk. When targeting Amberjack, a continuous retrieve combined with short jerks of the rod tip is instead more effective. It features a high-strength body made from highly buoyant natural wood and a robust 2.0 mm through-wire construction, entirely handcrafted by Hideyuki Tanaka, a master lure craftsman specialized in handmade lures. #3/0-#5/0 treble hooks are recommended.
