Jigging Hook Kamagiri

Gamakatsu's Jigging Hook Kamagiri is a highly technical hook for assist hook, developed to provide fast and secure hook-ups during jigging. Manufactured entirely in Japan, it features a distinctive short-shank and wide-gap geometry that promotes immediate hook rotation and effective penetration, even on the quickest and most delicate bites.

The carefully calibrated wire strength limits flex during the hook-set, reducing energy loss and transferring greater force to the point. This improves hook-up efficiency and allows the angler to intercept with confidence even bites that occur on the fall after upward jigging strokes. The Weak Point Press technology, combined with an optimized bend shape, distributes pressure more evenly during the fight, significantly reducing the risk of tearing the fish's mouth and subsequent hook pulls.

Example of use: rigged as an assist hook on a slow jig and paired with a soft assist cord, it allows the lure to be inhaled more easily during the fall and ensures fast, secure hook-ups on amberjack, dentex and other bottom-dwelling predators.
