Issen Hirame

Promarine's Issen Hirame is a lightweight and easy-to-handle rod for modern bottom fishing, developed in Japan for Hirame fishing and designed to respond smoothly as the fish takes the bait. Measuring 2.40 metres, it features a conventional reel configuration, combining rig control with ease of handling while fishing. The blank, with an 80% carbon content, has a 6:4 action that engages the middle section of the rod, promoting a progressive bend under load. This design allows the rod to yield as the fish takes the bait and absorb changes in tension during the fight, maintaining a smooth response. A Fuji SiC tip guide completes the setup, while the two-piece construction with a conventional joint makes the rod easier to transport and store. Available in three power ratings, L, M and MH, with different sinker weight ranges, the Issen Hirame offers a versatile choice for matching the rod to the depth, current and rig weight.
