HRX Start

Valleyhill's HRX Start is a series of spinning rods offering excellent value for money, developed to make rock fishing from the shore easier, more versatile and accessible. The design incorporates the technical characteristics of the HRX family, combining ease of use, reliability and an excellent power reserve. The length and action of the two models have been developed not only for fishing from rocky shores, but also for a wide range of lure fishing techniques from piers and harbours. The blank delivers a fast and controlled response, making it suitable for both hard lures and soft plastics. The firm tip allows anglers to work jig head-rigged soft baits and hard lures with precision, while maintaining good sensitivity throughout the retrieve. The lower section of the blank provides the power required for effective hook-sets and for controlling hard-fighting fish. CPSS-86MH
The 86MH is the most powerful and structured model in the HRX Start range. Compared with the 80M, it features increased stiffness throughout the entire blank, expanding the range of lure weights that can be used and improving control when fishing with heavier or more demanding lures. Its 8-foot 6-inch length increases casting distance and allows anglers to reach fishing areas farther from the shore. The longer blank also provides greater leverage for deep and powerful hook-sets, particularly useful when fishing near the bottom or when fish must be quickly steered away from rocks and obstacles.
