Hi-Standard 120S

Longin's Hi-Standard 120S is the sinking version of the famous Hi-Standard minnow, an high-end lure designed to deliver exceptional performance in both swimming and casting, embodying Longin's philosophy of pursuing the "perfect standard" in lure design. Its construction features a lip positioned at the front end of the body, with the line eye directly attached to it. This design allows the lure to catch water decisively, ensuring an immediate start and a smooth and responsive action from the very first turns of the reel. Beneath the lip, a keel controls excessive rolling and creates a perfect balance between rolling and wobbling, generating an enticing "wobble-roll" action with strong appeal. When the current changes or the lure loses balance, the keel reacts to the waterìs impact by producing a natural slide action, an irregular movement that sparks the curiosity and strikes of predators. During casting, three 5 mm tungsten balls shift to the tail to increase thrust and retain initial energy, enabling the lure to achieve outstanding casting distances with a tight and accurate trajectory. The aerodynamic body shape and the keel beneath the lip act as stabilizers, ensuring excellent air penetration and a stable flight path even in headwinds or crosswinds. In the water, the Hi-Standard 120S explores a wide range of depths, from 60 to 150 cm, with smooth control and a natural and lifelike swimming motion. The main difference from the Floating (120F) model lies in its slightly heavier weight and sinking balance: these features allow the 120S to reach deeper zones that the floating version cannot, while maintaining impeccable stability and superior casting power. The result is an extremely versatile minnow, ideal for rough seas or strong currents, giving anglers the opportunity to target predators in deeper, less pressured waters.
