APIA's Grandage World Ocean marks a radical shift, revolutionizing the traditional concept of Offshore Casting rods! Crafted with the finest materials and cutting-edge Japanese technology, this innovation is built on T1100G carbon, one of the strongest carbon fibers in the world. Combined with APIA's exclusive "BULK405" technology, it achieves an outstanding 150% increase in blank break strength. The rod's balance has been refined to the highest level, delivering a handling feel that exceeds its actual weight. However, the true highlight of the WORLD OCEAN lies in its extraordinary casting performance: thanks to the high responsiveness of the blank, the rod produces powerful and easily perceptible propulsion, allowing for longer casts with less effort. Even with a cast strength of only around 60%, the rod can still achieve up to 90% of its maximum casting distance, making it ideal for situations that require continuous casting throughout the day, while significantly reducing fatigue for the angler. All rod actions are equipped with Fuji Stainless Steel Frame SiC-S guides.
BLANK WITH TORAYCA® T1100G
The blank’s main material is TORAYCA® T1100G, a 33t high-strength, medium-high elasticity carbon fiber also used in rockets, Formula 1 cars, and aerospace applications. Its key characteristics include exceptional tensile strength, excellent flexibility, and acceleration of blank speed. It also incorporates #2574 Nanoalloy® resin for enhanced resilience and dynamic performance.
BULK405 TECHNOLOGY
A cutting-edge seamless carbon reinforcement structure that improves the bonding of carbon prepregs and enhances resistance to fatigue and extreme bending. This leads to increased rod durability and greater structural integrity due to the absence of layer junctions.
SHIELD TECH
A proprietary protective coating by APIA: thin, abrasion-resistant tape applied along the entire blank to guard against external damage.
NANO JOINT
APIA's patented joint system, developed with Nanoalloy® technology, offers numerous advantages:
- Superior load-bending curve transmission;
- Enhanced strength and reduced weight;
- Minimizes play between sections with ultra-high precision machining (0.002 to 0.005 mm).
*Note: Do not use ferrule wax with this system.
MODELS
834ML
Exceptional long-distance casting thanks to its length and spring-back. Perfect for bait-ball situations and smaller tunas.
825M
A versatile model that covers nearly all coastal species. Ideal for finesse tuna techniques but also capable of strong fights with bigger predators.
826MH
Outstanding balance between distance, power, and control. Recommended for GTs or tuna, and great for anglers with less upper-body strength.
838H
Balanced for big game; easy to handle for moderately fit anglers. Suitable for 20kg+ yellowtails, 50kg class tuna, and GTs.
8010HH
Standard power class for modern big game fishing. Flexible yet strong blank reduces fatigue, ideal for 50kg GTs or tunas up to 100kg.
7812HH
Built for tuna over 100kg. Designed for extended vertical fights, combining a strong butt section with a flexible tip.
7614MAX
The top-tier model for record-class tuna. Features extreme break strength, a high ratio of T1100G carbon, and maintains casting distance and sensitivity without compromise.
[Storage precautions]
If the rod gets wet, wipe off the water immediately with a dry towel.
Storing it in a wet state or in a hot and humid place may cause blisters to form on the painted surface.
