Gomoku Hineri

Katsuichi's Gomoku Hineri is a multifunctional eyed hook designed to suit various fishing techniques and target species. It's produced by Katsuichi, a historic Japanese brand founded in Himeji in 1967. Katsuichi is the original name of the company, renowned for its craftsmanship and excellence in producing high-quality fishing hooks and accessories. In later years, the same company created the Decoy brand, now internationally recognized in the modern sportfishing world, while the Katsuichi name continues to represent the traditional line dedicated to fishing with natural baits, both in freshwater and saltwater. The Gomoku Hineri originates from the classic Madai (sea bream) hook shape and features a “Hineri” twist that ensures a more secure bait hold and a more stable hookset, reducing the risk of tearing the fish's mouth after the bite. The shank section is crafted with a square-stem profile, which enhances strength and grip, while the inner side of the hook includes a special "Bait Grip" finish that ensures superior bait retention. This technology improves stability with all types of natural baits.
