HOT'S Gipang Boil Shot "3rd Generation" is the third evolution of this Japanese-engineered rod series, specifically designed for tuna fishing. With its most powerful model capable of handling giant tuna over 150 kg, this rod was meticulously supervised by Mr. Hideyuki Furuya, one of Japan's top Tuna fishing experts. After countless field tests, the Boil Shot was born, a rod developed with passion and precision to take on monster fish. Through extensive testing, a perfect balance zone was discovered between lifting power, casting performance, and maneuverability — essential features for facing extreme open-sea challenges. The rod features a high modulus carbon blank, reinforced in the butt section with the latest "Four-direction set carbon cloth", which increases torsional resistance and recovery power without adding weight. The tip section is finished with an unsanded surface, offering a light and responsive action during lure operation. This allows for delicate techniques like short twitching or subsurface darting while still delivering great strength. Although primarily designed for giant Tuna, the Boil Shot series is also ideal for GTs and big yellowtail amberjacks.
