Marukyu's Gekiomo Pellet is a technical saltwater fishing groundbait, developed as a mixing and adjustment component for preparing pressed groundbait balls for boat fishing. Its heavy and sticky formulation makes it possible to obtain a compact, stable and easy-to-handle bait, even when fishing over deep seabeds. It's enriched with special high-attraction pellets, mainly derived from aquaculture components, which break down very slowly during the fishing session. This gradual action helps keep the fishing spot active for longer, releasing particles and attractive substances on the bottom in a controlled way.
Thanks to its high specific weight, Gekiomo Pellet maintains an excellent sinking speed even when mixed with various base groundbaits. This makes it suitable for reaching deep seabeds, working effectively down to around 30 metres, without losing compactness during the descent. Its high binding capacity makes it easier to prepare the dango (a pressed groundbait ball) improving its hold and reducing the risk of premature breakage before it reaches the bottom. Once it reaches the fishing area, its natural and progressive breakdown allows precise control over bait release, adapting it to seabed conditions, current, and fish activity.
The composition includes aquaculture pellets, corn and yeast: ingredients designed to stimulate the feeding interest of bigger fish, especially in deep areas or near structures such as fish-farming cages, where important fish often pass through or remain. It's particularly suitable for chinu, madai, pelagic fish, and other marine species. Mixed with your preferred base groundbait, it makes it possible to obtain a technical, heavy, attractive and highly manageable dango.
