Jackall's Gekidaki Kaminari is an eging lure designed to combine ease of use with precise control. Its dedicated sinker, fixed tail counterweight and body construction work together to deliver wide darting actions, long, consistent casts and a stable sink. Easy to work for anglers new to squid fishing, it allows experienced anglers to vary the action according to conditions and cephalopod activity. Available in size 3.0 at 16 grams and size 3.5 at 22 grams, both versions feature a sink rate of approximately 4 seconds per metre.

Wide, lightning-fast darting actions
The specially shaped sinker facilitates darting and allows anglers to produce sharp lateral movements using different techniques. The Gekidaki Kaminari responds to both short, closely spaced jerks, producing small consecutive darts, and slack-line jerks, which generate wider movements. This versatility allows anglers to vary the pace and width of the action, adapting the presentation to the squid’s response.

The three essential qualities of an egi, delivered at a high level
Casting distance, darting action and sinking performance are central to the Gekidaki Kaminari's design. Each element is engineered to make these qualities easy to reproduce, regardless of the angler’s experience. The result is an egi that is easy to animate and precise to control, helping beginners through their first retrieves while giving experienced anglers the freedom to work it in different ways.

Consistent casting distances
The fixed counterweight inside the tip of the tail stabilises the lure in flight, reducing variations in distance from one cast to the next. The weight distribution prioritises casting consistency, limiting the influence of individual technique and fishing conditions. The system uses a fixed weight, calibrated to maintain a stable flight attitude without compromising the egi’s action or descent.

Stable sinking action
The Gekidaki Kaminari maintains a consistent attitude as it sinks, reducing wobbling and veering during the critical moment when squid may approach and strike. The Muscle Keel structure helps stabilise the lure and provides the buoyancy needed to offset the rear counterweight. Its descent remains controlled both on a free fall and under line tension, with a sink rate of approximately 4 seconds per metre in both sizes.

Colours

003 - MAX Orange
The fluorescent orange base provides a strong visual attraction, ideal when the priority is to draw squid’s attention. Suited to murky water, night fishing and initial exploratory casts, it is a useful choice whenever a highly visible colour is needed.

004 - Kin Aji UV
A baitfish-inspired colour with a gold base and UV reactivity. It combines a natural appearance with added visual attraction, offering a versatile option for a range of fishing conditions.

005 - Lightning Blue
The blue base is paired with a fluorescent yellow area on the head, creating an intermittent visual effect as the lure moves. A distinctive colour to alternate with more traditional patterns when squid follow the lure without striking.

006 - High Pressure Green
The red base helps define the lure's silhouette, while the green back tones down its visual attraction. Designed for wary squid and heavily fished spots, it offers a subtle presentation that encourages strikes.

007 - Low Light Red
The red base and fluorescent pink back combine a clearly defined silhouette with enhanced visual attraction. Suited to dawn, dusk and overcast days, it is designed for low-light conditions.

008 - Sweet Pink UV
The translucent pink base balances visibility with a natural appearance, enhanced by flashes from the gold holographic finish. A versatile colour and a useful starting point when conditions do not suggest an obvious choice.

009 - Weed Green UV
The translucent green base with UV reactivity is designed for fishing around aquatic vegetation. The UV response helps squid locate the lure, while the natural green shade blends into the surroundings to encourage strikes.

010 - Hara Glow Sujiebi
A natural colour with a translucent base and a subtle blue glow on the belly. Designed to offer a discreet presentation even at night and in deep water, it keeps the glow subdued to tempt wary squid.
