Gatchi Level Winder

Daiichi Seiko's Gatchi Level Winder is an accessory designed to make line spooling easier on reels without a level wind, such as many models used for jigging. It can be mounted on the Gatchi Reel Seat or on compatible tubes, allowing the line to be distributed across the spool in a more even, smooth, and controlled way. Its construction is designed to work even under high spooling tension, making it especially useful when handling large-diameter PE line. The machined aluminum line roller features a smooth surface to help reduce the risk of damaging the line, while the 2 ball bearings ensure smooth rotation. The large handle provides a secure grip even under load and can be mounted on either the right or left side depending on the reel setup. Compatible with supports from Ø22 to Ø26 mm, it offers a line winding width of approximately 75 mm. A practical and robust solution for achieving more precise and efficient line spooling.

How to use it?
Loosen the mounting bolt, open the Gatchi Level Winder clamp, and install it on the tube of the Gatchi Reel Seat or on a compatible Ø22-Ø26 mm support, tightening it with the supplied hex wrench. Then mount the handle on the side opposite the reel handle. Pass the line over the line roller and begin spooling, manually moving the Level Winder from right to left and back again to distribute the line evenly across the spool. On Ø26 mm tubes, it may be necessary to temporarily remove the mounting bolt from the rotating nut before installation.

Warnings
The tube-clamping section is not perfectly circular: its shape is specifically designed to fit diameters from Ø22 to Ø26 mm and is not a defect. Do not overtighten the mounting bolt, as this may cause damage. When installing on Ø26 mm tubes, take care not to lose the rotating nut or washer. Keep fingers away from moving parts during use. Depending on the size and shape of the reel, the reel handle may interfere with the Level Winder. Also avoid sudden movements or excessive line angles, as these may cause the line to come off the roller.
