Nature Boys's Fukurou 220F is a floating diving darter designed for targeting big predators both from shore and offshore, ideal for GT, yellowtail kingfish, tuna and other big pelagic species. With a length of 200 mm and a weight of approximately 120 g, it's designed to generate strong water displacement just below the surface, combining a pronounced wobbling action with a natural and highly stimulating rolling movement. The internal design uses a high-density tungsten weight, which optimizes the space inside the body and precisely concentrates the center of gravity. This configuration improves aerial stability and allows long, accurate and controlled casts even in difficult conditions, such as headwinds, rough seas or direct casts into surface feeding frenzies. The body is built to withstand extreme stress during fights with powerful fish. The structure is reinforced with a 1.8 mm stainless steel through-wire system, while the high-stress connection points are welded to further increase strength. This construction ensures excellent reliability against twisting, sudden pulling forces and violent fights typical of big game fishing.

How to use? One-Pitch Jerking
The Fukurou 220F shows its full potential with a one-pitch jerking retrieve. Each rod input generates a wobbling and rolling action just beneath the surface, accompanied by air bubbles produced at the moment of the jerk. This movement creates a strong visual and hydrodynamic appeal, capable of stimulating the predatory instinct even in wary or less active fish. During the action, the lure maintains a floating posture of approximately 70 degrees and quickly returns to position after each movement. This feature allows it to maintain a regular and controlled swimming action, avoiding unnatural slides or movements that could spook fish during continuous retrieves. A particularly effective technique is to alternate approximately five turns of the reel handle with one-pitch jerks. This sequence creates a rhythm of accelerations, pauses and sudden restarts, which is highly effective for triggering reaction bites from hunting or following predators.

How to use? Steady Retrieve
With a steady retrieve, a light input from the rod tip followed by continuous reeling allows the Fukurou 220F to develop a minnow-like action, with a stable wobble & roll just beneath the surface. This use is particularly effective when fish are reluctant to break the surface or when sea conditions make the action of traditional diving pencils less stable. Even with light handling, the lure maintains excellent grip on the water and continues to swim in a natural, regular and realistic way. This feature makes it highly versatile in current, wind or rough sea conditions, where it is essential for the lure to remain stable and easy to track even during long retrieves. The possibility of using single or double hook setups also allows anglers to adjust the lure’s resistance in the water. In this way, the angler can adapt the swimming action of the Fukurou 220F to the fishing spot, current strength, retrieve distance and predator behavior.

Action tuning
Due to its high responsiveness, the Fukurou 220F may sometimes tend to lean slightly to one side during the retrieve or during sharper jerks. In these cases, the swimming posture can be corrected by adjusting the front eyelet of the lure. The adjustment should be made by moving the eyelet approximately 1 mm in the opposite direction to the side toward which the lure tends to deviate. This small adjustment helps rebalance the action, improve swimming stability and achieve a more precise response during use.
