Flash-J Sway 5"

Fish Arrow's Flash-J Sway 5" is a high-response 5-inch soft bait, developed to deliver an especially strong and continuous rolling action even with slow retrieves and subtle presentations. The project originated from a request by Pro Staff member Keiji Fujiwara, who wanted a Flash-J of this size that would be even more effective in real fishing conditions, especially when targeting highly pressured and wary Black Bass. To achieve this, Fish Arrow adopted one of the softest materials used within the Flash-J series, combined with a body balance specifically optimized for the 5-inch size. This configuration produces an extremely high-pitch, fast, continuous and responsive rolling action, capable of creating constant changes in body orientation throughout the retrieve.

One of the most distinctive features of the Flash-J Sway 5" is its extremely thin tail, designed to react even to the slightest changes in current and the most subtle inputs. While the body produces a pronounced rolling action, the tail generates a more delicate and natural movement, creating a contrast between the strong action of the body and the subtle vibration of the tail section. This "strong x weak" combination helps prevent the lure from producing an overly uniform action and can be particularly effective on fish that have become accustomed to more predictable lure movements.

The lure also features a compact internal reflector, intentionally selected to reduce excessive flashing. During the rolling action, the reflector still produces intermittent flashes in a more controlled and natural way, maintaining the right balance between visual attraction and subtlety. At the same time, the high mobility of the soft material gives the lure a lifelike and organic feel, improving its response to changes in retrieve speed and rod inputs.

Thanks to the combination of extremely soft material, dedicated body balance, high-frequency rolling, internal reflector and ultra-thin tail, the Flash-J Sway 5" is primarily designed for technical and precise presentations, where selective predators need to be convinced through a complex yet natural action. It's especially well suited to high-pressure fishing situations, where overly aggressive movements or excessive flashing may reduce the lure's effectiveness.

Recommended rigging
- Jig Head Mid-Strolling: the primary setup, ideal for taking full advantage of the SWAY 5" characteristic high-pitch rolling action;
- Hover Strolling: for slower, more controlled presentations targeting wary bass in highly pressured waters;
- Jig Head Swimming: for straight retrieves through the water column, utilizing the lure's rolling, flashing, and tail movement;
- No-Sinker / Weightless: for a more natural and unrestricted presentation.
