Flash-J Shad Slim 5"

Fish Arrow's Flash-J Shad Slim 5" is an extremely versatile 5-inch shad-tail soft bait, developed to provide the right balance of size, self-weight, and action, making it effective with a wide range of rigs and in different fishing environments. The project was built around a clear goal: to create a soft bait capable of producing reliable action even during very slow retrieves in a no-sinker setup, while maintaining a natural and well-controlled movement. To achieve this, Fish Arrow focused on the balance of the head shake, aiming for a body oscillation that is neither too aggressive nor too subtle, making it suitable even for highly cautious predators.

One of the most distinctive features of the Flash-J Shad Slim 5" is its intentionally natural flashing design. Salt is incorporated only into the belly section, while the internal reflector has deliberately been kept small and coated with a slightly opaque material. This configuration produces more subtle and less intrusive flashes, avoiding the overly bright effect that can become counterproductive, especially in heavily pressured waters or when targeting wary fish. During the retrieve, the reflector still creates intermittent flashes of light, complementing the lure's movement in a more natural way.

The salt concentrated in the lower part of the body also helps to lower the center of gravity and increase the overall weight of the soft bait. This improves stability during casting and throughout the retrieve, while also significantly enhancing the handling of the Flash-J Shad Slim 5" in a weightless configuration. Its balance is particularly well suited to MH-class rods and 14–16 lb lines, offering a good combination of control, casting distance, and stability even in windy conditions.

Thanks to its structure and specific balance, the Flash-J Shad Slim 5" works as a true multi-performer, quickly adapting to different techniques without losing effectiveness. It can be used both as a main lure and as a trailer, while maintaining a natural and consistent response across different retrieve styles.
