This new model represents the standard bearer of the Emeraldas series, fully updated to offer a more responsive, lightweight and precise fishing experience. In this new version, the rotor material has been upgraded from DS4 to ZAION V, achieving greater lightness and rigidity. Additionally, the adoption of the AIRDRIVE DESIGN concept improved the weight balance, reducing fatigue during use. This reduction in perceived weight is especially effective during the repeated "shaking" and retrieval motions typical of eging, allowing for even more precise lure control. The new AIRDRIVE ROTOR, featuring a spherical shape seemingly cut from a single block, together with the AIRDRIVE BAIL optimized with an angled setup, further reduces line tangles. The drag system is equipped with the new ATD TYPE-L, which enhances initial responsiveness. Although the main fishing line for Eging tends to be thin (like PE 0.6), the ATD TYPE-L enables quick and secure landing, preventing line breaks and providing great reliability during actual fishing. AIRDRIVE ROTOR
Using a unique design theory, a new shape was developed that looks as if it were cut directly from a sphere. From this structure, all unnecessary material was meticulously removed, resulting in a significant weight reduction without compromising rigidity. The outcome is an incredibly light rotational start that greatly improves sensitivity and ease of operation.
AIRDRIVE BAIL
The wire-type AIRDRIVE BAIL has been adopted, achieving a significant weight reduction of the rotor while maintaining the strength required for real fishing conditions. The lightening of the entire rotor unit, including the bail, greatly reduces rotational inertia, enhancing reel response and improving control. The new bail arm lever shape also reduces line tangles significantly.
ATD TYPE-L
The ATD drag smoothly responds to fish pulls, maintaining consistent and smooth resistance. The ATD TYPE-L improves initial response, optimizing strike setting and drag adaptation. This allows anglers to fully concentrate on the fight without worrying about drag adjustments.
ZAION V
A carbon hybrid composite material developed to make reels lighter and stronger. ZAION V precisely controls the carbon content to achieve weight lighter than metal while maintaining strength comparable to metals. This high-performance material also offers great versatility, suitable for a wide range of reels. ZAION V inherits the essence of the original ZAION material, representing its pinnacle in carbon composite technology.
LC-ABS (Long Cast ABS)
Retaining the concept of reducing contact friction from ABS II, this technology moves the contact point forward to enable smoother line release. By pushing the ring part forward, the line is less likely to ride on the ring, improving casting distance by about 5% compared to traditional ABS II and reducing line tangles. This is a next-generation ABS spool that achieves the LC (Long Cast) concept.
