Emeraldas Drift Mask

Daiwa's Emeraldas Drift Mask is a removable mask for Egi lures, designed to modify and optimize their sinking phase. Made from a soft, buoyant material, it's fitted directly onto the Egi and features a distinctive double-gill structure that increases its grip on the water. The combination of hydrodynamic resistance and buoyancy slows the sinking speed, extending the time the Egi remains within the strike zone. During the descent, it promotes a more stable, natural and controlled posture, allowing the lure to produce a more visible and attractive action, even when targeting wary squid. Its removable design allows the mask to be quickly fitted or removed according to the depth, current and behaviour of the cephalopods. The material is also formulated with "Amino X", a special amino acid-based attractant developed by Daiwa, which further enhances the lure’s appeal.

With the Emeraldas Drift Mask, it's possible to:
