Elma 90S

GOTO9's Elma 90S is a distinctive 90 mm sinking pencil weighing approximately 20 g, designed for Seabass fishing in shallow water with weak currents. Its design focuses on conditions typical of small and medium-sized rivers and brackish environments, allowing anglers to alternate presentations by varying retrieve speed. Its ability to harness water pressure, combined with a largely horizontal swimming posture, allows it to work in the surface layers. The ability to vary its action lets anglers adapt the presentation to predator behaviour without changing lures.

The Elma 90S was developed for shallow spots, including river stretches with reduced flow that can become exposed at low tide. Its design is suited to the inside of river bends, pebble beaches beside harbours and beaches in sheltered bays. These environments do not always hold concentrations of baitfish capable of triggering intense predator activity. For this reason, the lure combines tail oscillations, S-shaped movements and a surface wake, offering various presentation options, from drifting to actively searching for fish.

The combination of a horizontal posture, variable action and control at different speeds makes the ELMA 90S a versatile lure for fishing the surface layers. The protrusion beneath the chin limits rolling over and loss of balance during fast retrieves, promoting surface stability without directly generating the action. Supplied with #4 treble hooks and #3 split rings.

Slow retrieve
Produces tail oscillations with a hovering feel, creating a slow, natural presentation. Recommended for drift fishing, allowing the current to contribute to the lure's movement.

Medium retrieve
Adds a natural S-shaped action to the tail oscillations, with restrained turning angles and movement amplitude. Designed to imitate juvenile mullet and cover shallow areas with a subtle presentation.

Fast retrieve
Produces an S-shaped action accompanied by a surface wake, suitable for daytime fishing, searching for predators and heavily pressured areas along light and shadow boundaries. The protrusion beneath the chin helps maintain balance at high speeds.
