Dobatto Basket LL

Sany's Dobatto Basket LL is a technical chum feeder specifically designed for krill/shrimp-based chum bait (Okiami Komase), a type of bait widely used in Japanese-style boat fishing. It's a dedicated version of the Pakatto Basket LL, developed to provide a more abundant and controllable release of chum bait, especially when using mixes with larger particles.

The main feature of the Dobatto Basket LL is its large-diameter side holes compared to the Pakatto version, designed to promote a more generous release of chum bait. The configuration includes 2 side holes of Ø14 mm and 6 side holes of Ø10 mm, a solution designed to facilitate bait dispersion even when the chum bait is coarser or less fluid. The side holes can also be partially or fully closed using the dedicated "one-touch" plugs (sold separately), allowing for an even more customized release adjustment. This feature is particularly useful when switching from calm waters to stronger currents, or when you want to slow down dispersion in order to keep the chum bait longer in the fishing area.

The adjustment system uses the Top Draft and Sub Draft, both featuring a sliding adjustment mechanism with progressive click settings. This allows precise control of the amount of chum bait released from the upper and lower sections of the basket, adapting the flow to the current, depth, sinking speed, and fish activity. The Dobatto Basket LL is recommended for Sabiki fishing and Japanese-style boat fishing with rigs and terminal tackle where it's necessary to create an attractive chum trail around the hooks. As an LL-size model, it offers greater capacity than smaller versions, making it suitable for situations where a larger amount of chum bait or a stronger attraction effect is required.

How to use?
1) Open the feeder and insert the desired chum bait inside
2) Do not compress the chum bait excessively, especially if you want a faster and more natural release
3) Adjust the Top Draft and Sub Draft according to current and depth: open them wider for a more abundant release, or keep them more closed for slower, controlled dispersion
4) Manage the side holes by leaving them open for greater bait release, or by closing some of them with the dedicated one-touch plugs, sold separately
5) Connect the Dobatto Basket LL to the rig according to the fishing technique used, generally in combination with boat rigs or Sabiki rigs
6) Lower it slowly into the water to avoid tangles and allow the chum bait to start working properly
7) Apply gentle vertical rod movements to help the chum bait come out and create an attractive trail around the hooks
8) Refill when necessary and adjust the openings if the current, depth, or fish activity changes
9) Rinse with fresh water after use to keep the opening system, adjustment guides, and side holes working efficiently
