What's EX-PE (Excellent PE)?
EX-PE (Excellent PE) is a versatile polyethylene material designed to provide high strength at a competitive cost, without compromising quality. Its structure ensures excellent sensitivity and precise lure control, while maintaining enough softness for smooth handling. With a density of 0.97, it's naturally floating and does not absorb water, ensuring consistent performance over time. It offers approximately 3 times the tensile strength of nylon and features very low stretch, improving bite detection and hook-setting efficiency. As typical of fine PE fibers, it has lower abrasion resistance and a knot strength of around 40%, aspects to consider during use.
