Deco Pen II

Kamiwaza's Deco Pen II is a premium floating wooden diving pencil developed for targeting big saltwater predators from both shore and boat, and designed to maintain a natural, stable, and effective action even in changing sea conditions. The wooden body provides exceptionally smooth and realistic contact with the water, allowing the lure to respond immediately to jerks while maintaining a controlled swimming attitude at all times. During the retrieve, the Deco Pen II dives beneath the surface surrounded by a trail of bubbles and produces a sinuous S-shaped action, combined with pronounced side-to-side darts that imitate a distressed baitfish. At the end of each jerk, the lure raises its head and quickly returns to the surface, creating a highly natural pause and giving the predator a clear point at which to strike. Its ease of use allows the angler to alternate slow, rhythmic retrieves with more aggressive jerks, adapting the action to the fish's activity level and to current and wave conditions. The internal 1.4 mm stainless steel through-wire construction ensures high strength and reliability during demanding fights with amberjack, tuna, GT, and other large pelagic predators. Cultiva ST-66 #1 treble hooks are recommended for the 140F model, while the 160F is designed to be rigged with Cultiva ST-66 #2/0 treble hooks.
