Calamaretti UX 2026

Graphiteleader's Calamaretti UX 2026 is a completely renewed eging rod series, developed while retaining the concept that has defined previous generations, but introducing significant improvements in lightness, sensitivity and handling. The blank is made from high-modulus carbon, with a slim and lightweight construction capable of delivering high responsiveness and a crisp reaction when working the egi. The butt section incorporates Graphite Cloth LV, a material designed to reduce weight while optimizing torsional rigidity and crush resistance, improving stability and precision during fishing. All models are equipped with SiC guides with stainless steel frames, selected to ensure reliability, smooth PE line flow and durability in saltwater environments.

The joint features a reverse joint system, developed to provide a progressive and uniform bending curve, very similar to that of a one-piece rod. The new original OP-02 carbon reel seat, developed directly by Olympic and mounted in a down-lock configuration, helps to further reduce overall rod weight while increasing sensitivity transmitted to the angler's hand. The separate EVA grip, featuring high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, provides a stable and comfortable hold while allowing excellent freedom of movement during repeated jerks and egi animations.

Thanks to the UX manufacturing process, the series delivers an outstanding value for money without sacrificing the key technologies developed by Olympic. A model focused on speed and precision when working the egi, taking advantage of its relatively short length to provide excellent handling and allow anglers to quickly search different areas. It's particularly well suited to autumn squid fishing, while still offering enough power in the butt section to handle the larger specimens typically encountered during the spring season.

With its 8'3" length and ML power, this is the most versatile model in the series. It can be used throughout the year and, thanks to its easy casting performance and effortless jerking action, it's also recommended for anglers approaching eging for the first time.

Its greater length makes it possible to impart wider jerks to the egi and, as the most powerful model in the series, it's particularly suitable for larger egi and fishing in deeper water. An ideal model especially for the spring season, when targeting big squid.
