Blackscale Field Packer "Casting"

Valleyhill's Blackscale Field Packer "Casting" is the baitcasting reel version of this five-piece travel rod series, developed to deliver high-level technical performance while maintaining a compact 50 cm transport length. The carbon blank reinforced with 3K Mesh Carbon, combines a soft tip, a progressive and resilient mid-section, and a powerful reserve of strength. The spigot joints promote an even distribution of load, preventing stiffness around the connection points and ensuring a smooth and natural bending curve comparable to that of a traditional two-piece rod. The structure has been designed to handle both the main European and Japanese predatory species and the powerful fish commonly encountered in tropical destinations. The Fuji K guides with stainless steel frames and SiC rings ensure excellent line flow, abrasion resistance, and proper line management during casting and fighting. The rod is fitted with a Fuji PTS reel seat finished in Metallic Black, while the grey and black EVA grip provides a secure and comfortable hold even during long fishing sessions. The rear section of the handle is completed with a durable Fuji BRC rubber butt cap, practical and resistant during transport. Each rod is supplied with a dedicated semi-hard case and a padded inner bag, ideal for protecting it inside suitcases and travel luggage.

BSFC-73M/5
The BSFC-73M/5 is the baitcasting model in the series, featuring a Medium power rating and a Fast action. Despite its M classification, the blank offers a high level of strength and a considerable reserve of power, designed to handle large predators and particularly demanding fights. The soft tip promotes a natural lure presentation and allows the fish to hold the bait without immediately feeling excessive resistance. The progressive yet firm mid-section ensures precise control during jerking, twitching, straight retrieves, and changes in retrieve speed. The powerful butt section transfers force quickly during the hook-set and allows the angler to control the fish even around obstacles, submerged structures, and vegetation. The Fast tip action provides a quick and direct response, making this model particularly suitable for minnow, jerkbait, crankbait, vibration lures, weighted soft baits, and other artificial lures intended for targeting powerful predators. It is an excellent choice for black bass, boat sea bass, barramundi, and pike.
