Valleyhill's Arcustream is a series of Native Trout baitcasting rods developed specifically for trout fishing in mountain streams, headwaters, and small waterways characterized by fast currents and restricted casting space. The carbon blank delivers a smooth yet slightly crisp response, designed to provide excellent casting accuracy and immediate lure control in current. The tip section is engineered to avoid excessive flex, allowing the angler to work sinking minnows and small lures decisively even in turbulent flows. Under load, the entire blank develops a progressive and parabolic curve that absorbs sudden runs and reduces the risk of losing fish during the fight. The three-piece construction ensures excellent portability, making the rods particularly convenient when hiking along streams, mountain paths, and rocky terrain. The Fuji guides with titanium and stainless steel frames provide low weight, corrosion resistance, and efficient line management during frequent short-range casting. The reinforced wood reel seat combines strength, sensitivity, and a refined traditional finish. The high-grade AAA cork handle provides a natural and comfortable grip while maintaining direct contact with the blank. The butt section is completed with a custom Valleyhill-branded end piece.

ASC-38
The ASC-38 is the shortest and most compact baitcasting model in the series. Its three-piece construction provides maximum portability when moving along streams, trails, and mountain areas. The extremely short length allows the angler to fish effectively in the most confined environments, where vegetation, rock walls, and low branches severely limit the available casting space. The blank features carefully calibrated stiffness, allowing it to load quickly even with short wrist movements and deliver precise casts close to the bank, between rocks, or into small pools created by the current. The responsive tip provides effective control of sinking minnows and small lures, making it easy to perform quick jerks, twitches, and sudden changes of direction. During the fight, the blank’s progressive curve absorbs the trout’s sudden runs and maintains constant pressure on the hook, reducing the risk of losing the fish. The ASC-38 is particularly well suited to small mountain streams, headwaters, and technical upstream fishing, where compactness, speed of execution, and accuracy are essential.

ASC-44
The ASC-44 is a short three-piece baitcasting model designed to provide a broader balance between casting accuracy, lure control, and the ability to cover slightly wider sections of stream. Compared with the ASC-38, its additional length improves line control, allows the angler to reach more distant targets, and helps maintain control of the lure across lateral currents. The blank has a crisp yet not excessively stiff action, allowing sinking minnows to be cast easily without sacrificing sensitivity or handling. The tip section provides a quick response during jerks, twitches, and upstream retrieves, while the mid-section loads smoothly and makes casting fluid and precise. Under load, the progressive curve allows the angler to safely control the sudden runs of wild trout, absorbing stress without compromising sensitivity. The ASC-44 is particularly suitable for headwaters, mountain streams, and small to medium-sized waterways where short, accurate casts must be alternated with slightly longer presentations.
