25 Saltiga Spool "DRD (14000-25000)"

SLP WORKS's 25 Saltiga Spool "DRD (14000-25000)" is the DRD drag version of the SLP WORKS replacement spools designed for the new SALTIGA 2025. The DRD (Dural Roller Drag) is a completely innovative drag system developed to withstand the long and repeated runs of big saltwater predators, ensuring maximum reliability even at high drag settings. Designed to prevent wear, overheating and drag seizure, the DRD represents a significant advancement over traditional drag systems. Instead of conventional carbon drag washers, the DRD employs a special drag washer consisting of a metal plate fitted with 8 metal rollers, a solution that effectively dissipates heat generated by friction. This dramatically reduces drag fade during prolonged fights and delivers more than five times the durability of carbon washers, according to Daiwa comparative testing. The system also provides an exceptionally smooth drag start-up, improving fish control from the very first moments of the fight. The DRD system comes standard on models DRD14000 and 18000, 20000, and 25000.

The LC-ABS SW system is an evolution of the classic LC-ABS design, featuring a dual-taper shape on the upper section of the line lay area, oriented toward the spool lip. This design significantly reduces line friction as it leaves the spool, especially from deeper line layers, resulting in smoother casting and improved performance during the final phase of the cast. When using thicker lines, where changes in winding diameter are more pronounced, it delivers an increase in casting distance of up to approximately 2% (based on Daiwa comparative tests), offering a clear advantage for anglers seeking maximum casting range.
