Oceanus Wide HD

Evergreen's Oceanus Wide HD is the new version of one of the best Slow Pitch reels on the market! Compact, light, powerful, hig line capacity, the Oceanus Wide HD has all the features necessary to best deal with this fantastic vertical fishing technique. Compared to the Oceanus Wide model it has been improved making it more powerful, while compared to the classic Oceanus model the 4mm spool has been enlarged to increase line capacity. The drag lever system has been completely renewed: the pre-set consists of 72 micro-adjustments that can be adjusted thanks to a large dial. The large drag adjustment lever is easy to use and can be adjusted very smoothly, not jerky. Around the spool there is a "Line Guard" that protects the line from possible wigs especially in the presence of strong wind. Even if of compact dimensions, it has the ability to retrieve 1 meter per turn of the crank, therefore it's perfect both for fast retrieves (High Pitch Jerker) and for the slow ones (Slow Pitch Jerker), in which it easily generates the initial speed suitable for such retrieve. The body and the spool are highly rigid and resistant as they are made of forged aluminum that guarantees power and lightness. The design of the side cheeks allows a comfortable support of the palm of the hand. In the lower part there is an adjustable lever (ON-OFF): if you choose ON, moving the lever horizontally, the reel locks (yes, in the case of stranding on the bottom, so it is necessary to keep the rod in line with the braid to avoid breakages). Choose OFF, moving the lever in the opposite direction to ON, and pull vertically downwards (LOCK) to return to regular use of the reel. Another unique feature of the Oceanus Wide HD is the handle that can be adjusted from a minimum of 92mm to a maximum of 105mm with a slightly inclined knob and very easy to grip product made of anti-slip material. All completed with an original carrying case.
