Shimano's Metanium MGL is the new model of this series of Bass Fishing baitcasting reels! It has been completely redesigned by Shimano engineers to be the most advanced Metanium ever produced! The Metanium 2020 features a never-before-seen solid magnesium body, offering professional and enthusiast anglers the solid advantage of durability, stiffness and feel while reducing weight. The new Ci4+ star drag further reduces weight. Featuring an MGL III spool, which reduces spool inertia by 17% over the previous generation, while still using SVS Infinity Braking for maximum adjustability and distance for all lure ranges. The Metanium now comes with a brass MicroModule main gear for increased durability and long-term smoothness. The Silent Tune reduces spool bearing vibrations to maximize casting distance and improve casting feel.
