Grappler Type LJ

Shimano's Grappler Type LJ from Shimano is part of a series of rods specifically designed for vertical techniques from the boat. Ideal for those who want a light, sensitive and powerful rod, and they have been tested not only in Japan, but around the world to provide the right rod for everyone. In addition to the Slow Jigging (Type Slow J) and Casting (Type C) models, Shimano has studied this Type LJ model, created specifically for Light Jigging. The highest quality blank was produced using two famous Shimano technologies, Spiral-X and Hi-Power X. The Spiral-X is a three-layer structure in which carbon is wound diagonally (as opposed to the classic carbon stems with the sheets placed horizontally) in a narrow way, thus improving performance and increasing rigidity without increasing weight. But, to increase the resistance of the drum, it's necessary to use Hi-Power X, which consists of an external X-shaped layer that acts as a reinforcement structure for the blank. The reel seat is in Ci4+ which reduces weight and at the same time improves sensitivity. The guides are Fuji K-series with stainless steel frame.
